We got service through Shield about three months ago and I am so happy we did. Tyler took time to explain what and the why of what he was doing and then made sure that we were happy. We have not had any issues since and the huge ant colonies that were pushing up dirt in my driveway are all GONE!

Prompt, knowledgeable and thorough. I recommend their service.

I would give Tyler 10 stars if I could. Professional. Kind. Thorough. Knowledgeable. Etc, etc. When I called Shield Pest Control, I explained that I just moved into an old house with a LOT of little bugs that were getting through the windows/doors. He found time in his schedule to show up the same day. (He later confessed to hearing desperation in my voice and that’s why he agreed to help me out by coming by the same day instead of waiting until the following week. Ha.) He identified the bugs in my house as “elm seed bugs” and described the backstory of how they got to the area, how they were worse this year than other years and to expect them to continue being a problem until about August. He also identified the type of cockroach in my garage and told me that if I’m going to have cockroaches, this is the best type to have. He clearly knows his stuff. It’s been a few days and the hundreds (if not thousands) of elm seed bugs are dying around my windows rather than staying alive and flying around my house. (Disgusting! I know! I’m trying really hard to get new windows installed ASAP!). Also, I’m finding more dead cockroaches in my garage than I was before when I was just trying store bought bait/cockroach killer packets. (By the way, there was not visible residue on walls/baseboard as there was with other sprays I have used in the past at my other house, which is great.) To summarize, I am SO SO SO grateful to Tyler for fitting me in and giving me a great pest control experience. I actually called Orkin before calling him and the prices were insane with Orkin. Tyler offers different services for a very reasonable price in my opinion. I opted for the yearly plan where he comes out every quarter to spray the inside/outside of the house. Just from this one visit, it’s obvious Tyler is seriously just a respectable and trustworthy guy that I fully trust walking around my house on his own, providing me a proper invoice, and running a real business that he takes pride in. I’ve been dealing with a lot of different contractors lately since moving to the area and this type of professionalism is not guaranteed with every business you work with. I highly recommend Shield Pest Control.

I have been very impressed with Shield pest control! The day of process was smooth, easy, he was on time and knowledgeable of exactly what we needed. Its been a month or so and so far our earwig/spider problem has been a lot better! The few I find are dead, I couldn’t be happier!

I had a least two nests that I knew of. When I told my dad, he told me to get them taken care of immediately because, and I quote, “the little bastards destroy everything.” There’s also the hazard of my allergy to bee venom, so I decided to take his advice. I’ve had the best luck with local companies, so i decided to continue the pattern. In this case, I won. I got the proprietor almost immediately and he scheduled me for the next day despite being a one man business, which strongly impressed me. He mentioned in my call that he doesn’t like to just do one time sprays because bugs are so persistent. This told me that customer care was key, andthat’s something I wanted to contribute to. It turns out i really needed to have someone out. There were five wasp nests on my property, and all were taken care of. He even sprayed my irrigation house and garden shed, which I didn’t expect and was pleasantly surprised. When it came tieme to pay, I was offered to just do an entire year, which I accepted, because I have having debts, especially when it comes to people who do me such a strong service. This guy clearly cares about his clients, and I cannot recommend him more highly.
